Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
Ayda Cabinets ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. The information we collect
We collect personal information that you give us directly, including your name, email address, telephone number, delivery and billing address, the details of your project, and any information you include in an enquiry, appointment request or quote request. When you buy from our shop we also record your order history and the delivery or pickup details for that order.
We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider, and only the result of the payment and a reference to it are returned to us.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you use the website, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This information is used to keep the site secure and to understand which pages people find useful.
2. Why we collect it
We use personal information to respond to your enquiry, arrange and confirm appointments, prepare quotes, fulfil and deliver orders, provide customer support and after-sales service, keep records required by law, and improve our products and website. Where you have asked us to, we also use your contact details to send you information about our products and services. You can opt out of those messages at any time.
3. When we disclose it
We disclose personal information only where it is needed to deliver what you have asked for or where the law requires it. This includes our payment provider (Stripe), our email delivery provider, our delivery and installation partners, our hosting and file storage providers, and our professional advisers. We do not sell personal information.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
4. How we protect it
We hold personal information in access-controlled systems, encrypt it in transit, restrict staff access to those who need it, and keep an audit record of administrative changes. No system is completely secure; if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as the law requires us to keep records. Sales and tax records are generally kept for seven years.
6. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the website to work, including keeping you signed in to your account and remembering the contents of your shopping cart. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site will not work.
7. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period.
8. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
